Disabled Access

At the Lakeside Surgery and Corby Urgent Care Centre there are reserved car parking spaces for the disabled near the front door. Wheelchair access to the building is at the front entrance. The ramp also allows access to the treatment room from outside in an emergency.

Please note that we do not allow mobility scooters into the surgery as there is a suspended floor which will not take the weight of the scooters. There is a scooter park just outside the front door with an intercom to the reception desk. The receptionists will be able to help you with wheelchair access from your scooter should you require it.

Patient services are provided at ground floor level through the joint access with the Corby Urgent Care Centre. There are lifts provided to access the first and second floors and is situated next to the stairs inside the front entrance and off the same day clinic waiting area. There are disabled patients' WCs provided in the joint entrance. If access proves difficult to any of our disabled patients we would be happy to consider any suggestions for improvement.

Wheelchairs are available and a hearing loop is installed for hard of hearing patients. Reception staff are available to help patients with special needs.
